Image
Desmond Doss's story is an extraordinary and profoundly inspirational testament to the power of unwavering conviction and selflessness. During World War II, he served as a combat medic in the United States Army, but what set him apart was his steadfast commitment to his beliefs. He faced derision because he refused to carry a weapon and because of his religious principles, he wouldn't work on Saturdays. Despite the adversity he encountered and the abuse he endured, Desmond Doss remained resolute in his desire to contribute to the war effort without compromising his deeply held convictions. Once, a curious man went to seek wisdom from God and asked, "What's the value of life?" In response, God handed him a plain stone and instructed him to determine its worth without selling it. The man embarked on a journey to decipher the stone's value. He first approached an orange seller who offered him 12 oranges in exchange. Politely declining, the man explained that he couldn't sell the stone as per God's instructions. Undeterred, he then visited a vegetable seller who proposed a sack of potatoes. Again, he refused.  His quest led him to a jewelry shop where he was offered a substantial $100,000 for the stone. However, he remained steadfast in his refusal. The jeweler increased the offer to $150,000, but the man continued to resist, explaining his divine directive. Finally, he visited a precious stone shop and presented the radiant stone to the seller. This seller, upon seeing the stone's brilliance, laid it gently on a crimson cloth, treating it with ...

The winding path mirrored the river's course, leading them to a point where they needed to cross the river, wading through its brisk current. As they began removing their zebra socks and shoes, an unexpected surprise unfolded – a lion leaped out from the nearby bushes! "Excuse me," the Lion politely inquired, "but I'm terribly afraid of the water's fast-flowing current. Could one of you carry me across?" Without a moment's hesitation, one of the zebras offered his back, instructing the lion to hold on tightly. With shoes and socks in one hand and ...

The neighbor replied, "I did sell the well to the farmer, but not the water within it. He has no right to draw water from the well."                             "The Monkey's Lesson" In the past, hunters had a unique way of trapping monkeys. Instead of chasing them or shooting arrows, they used a heavy glass jar with a narrow neck, filled with the monkeys' favorite food. When the unsuspecting monkey reached in, it would clench its fist around the food but couldn't pull its hand out due to the narrow neck. The monkey would struggle, refusing to let go of the food. Hunters would then capture it. The man cautioned his child not to be like that monkey. In life, one must know when to quit, move on, and let go of what's holding them back to grow and fight another day. Moral of the Story: Sometimes, letting go of what you have now opens the door to something better in the future. Stubbornness can be your downfall, so learn when to release what's holding you back.
