"The Monkey's Lesson"
In the past, hunters had a unique way of trapping monkeys. Instead of chasing them or shooting arrows, they used a heavy glass jar with a narrow neck, filled with the monkeys' favorite food. When the unsuspecting monkey reached in, it would clench its fist around the food but couldn't pull its hand out due to the narrow neck.
The monkey would struggle, refusing to let go of the food. Hunters would then capture it.
The man cautioned his child not to be like that monkey. In life, one must know when to quit, move on, and let go of what's holding them back to grow and fight another day.
Moral of the Story:
Sometimes, letting go of what you have now opens the door to something better in the future. Stubbornness can be your downfall, so learn when to release what's holding you back.
